Randy Savage Net Worth: Randy Savage was an American professional wrestler and actor who had a net worth of $8 million at the time of his death. Randy Savage was a world champion wrestler for the World Wrestling Federation and World Champion Wrestling. Randy died on May 20, 2011.

He was born Randy Mario Poffo November 15, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio. Known as “Macho Man” in the ring, Savage actually embarked on his athletic life as a minor league baseball player on teams including the Cardinals and the White Sox. Eventually, he switched to wrestling together with his brother Lanny. After he discovered his true calling, he devotedly worked his way up through the ranks of various wrestling federations. Even though they often worked together as a tag team, Randy and Lanny also fought against one another.

Randy had his two big breaks, an ICW Title victory against Lanny and a defeat of Jerry Lawler in the ring which granted Savage the title of Southern Heavyweight Champion. Savage reached the peak of his wrestling career via his involvement in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) under the management of his late wife, “Miss” Elizabeth Hulette. In his WWF’s tenure, he defeated opponents like Tito Santana, Lex Luger, Dusty Rhodes and Brutus Beefcake among others. Once he earned the WWF heavyweight title, the wrestler left for the WCW amid a contractual dispute and won the heavyweight bout there as well. In that bout, he saw success in the creation of the nWo (or New World Order in professional wrestling). At WCW his competitors included Sting, Diamond Dallas Page, Bret Hart, and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

Even though Savage kept his distance from Hollywood for many years, he eventually moved into playing roles on screen. He performed in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man (2002), the series Mad About You and Family Guy. He also participated in the 7th season of VH1’s reality series The Surreal Life. What’s more, he did a voice-over for the family animated feature Bolt.

Unfortunately Randy Savage died on May 20, 2011 at the age of 58. Initial reports said he died in a car accident but later reports showed he actually died of a heart attack while driving which caused him to crash into a tree.
