Alert the Beyhive! Beyoncé just debuted her stunning look for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday, May 2.
The “Formation” singer, 34, took to Instagram to share a snapshot of her fabulously fierce, nude frock designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. The latex gown also features intricate beading and dramatic, puffed shoulder pads.
For this year’s Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology-themed affair, the Grammy-winning superstar paired her look with dark, smoky eye makeup and wore her honey-colored locks pin-straight and parted down the middle. She also sparkled in jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz.
Bey last attended 2015’s Met Gala, when the theme was China: Through the Looking Glass. At the time, the pop diva turned heads in a very revealing, sheer Givenchy dress.
She and her husband, Jay Z, made a memorable entrance at last year’s fashion event by walking the red carpet just as it was closing, one year after their infamous elevator incident with Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles at the 2014 Met Gala.
